Pezzner: The Hand That Feeds You Label: Dirtybird

Seattle-based Dave Pezzner has done a lot of slick and groovy house & tech-house productions, and his remix skills are in high demand worldwide. And yet, somehow, this is his first ever release on the infamous Dirtybird record label out of San Francisco. This little EP is pretty cool and features some super-strange but mesmerizing tracks that are slightly mental. And that's what they're supposed to do. I liked both tracks - give 'em a spin!

1. "The Hand That Feeds You" (6:25): Strangely mesmerizing track, very deep and kinda exotic-sounding. Gets into your head with the conga-type percussion. Not too fast, and an unusual trip-out for a deep-house track.
2. "Right Place, Right Time" (7:26): Crackly staticky beats featuring a warbly synth buzzing effect that gets weirder as you hit the peak of the track. This loopy track will bother you - and that's what it's designed to do.
