Sublevel & Blakdoktor feat. Lillia Label: Classic

This little release features 2 massive names in house music: Sublevel & Blakdoktor, who are DJs Doc Martin and Mark "Blakkat" Bell. Both of these guys are known for dropping slammin' beats all across the country. But this interesting studio production featuring vocalist Lillia is more on the R&B deep-house tip. The original song (#1) is a bit to sweet for my tastes, and Atjazz adds the remix work on #2 & #3 which are pretty good. Very deep vocal house.

1. "Promise" (8:22): Sexy and sensual vocal disco-pop. Sugary-sweet vocal stylings by Lillia with some lovey lyrics, backed by some swirly synths and a groovy funky beat.

2. "Promise (Atjazz Floor Dub)" (7:05): Dubbed-out house remix of the original, using little bits Lillia's vocals and throwing some cute lightly fluttering synths and some house-y claps & beats.

3. "Promise (Atjazz Vocal Mix) (7:05): Straight-up deep-house remix of the original track. Atjazz does the remix work here, keeping the core of the vocals but playing with it more, while adding spacey effects and synths.
