An interesting spiritual concept album inspired by a civil War photo book belonging to Capt Nathan Baker. This Captain prayed with his men in the field before leading them into battle, and he became a kind of good luck talisman for his soldiers. The album is filled with gentle instrumentation and meandering lyrics that only very loosely fit into the country genre. I liked #1, 4 and 9 best.

1. med- soft rock, reminds me of a cross between early Bowie and Lou Reed
2. slow/med – gentle marching tune
3. med- soft rock tune with a slight twang in the voice
4. slow- very short INSTRUMENTAL with vocal sounds, but no words
5. slow- rock ballad
6. med- soft rock sound with heavy lyrics
7. slow/med- march with patriotic lyrics
8. slow- INSTRUMENTAL, gentle, dreamy and short
9. med- gentle tune that would be soft rock in a simpler world
