Spheruleus, City Spheres, [self] A collection of downtempo triphop/jazz. Partly ambient, rhythmic, and “contemplative”. From the blurb: incorporate more rhythmic aspects to his usually pastoral sound with jazz samples and downtempo drum patterns…the theme is taken out of the fields and onto the lonely city streets. The tone still remains contemplative and loosely Ambient, whilst Harry hones into influences from the instrumental Hip-Hop, Electronica and Jazz scenes Distant Buildings: subdued smooth jazz with dissonant vibe, slowed down. Silhouettes: faded lounge beats with a spattering of sound bits Resolve: Horns with abstract drums and crackles, repetitive Refectors: nervous but faking calm, coffeeshopish Transit: oldtime elevator music Periphery: medium-large slow electro free jazz Transfer: funkier, weirder Signals: minimal and mysterious and half-synthetic * Dust: electronica; imagine a downtempo les sins. Monument: Happy and blissful and rhythmic Passing Trade: a little cheesy and dream-like, extra repetitive * Piazzo: diner clatter under accessible sound sheens and drum lines that go nowhere |
