INDIE ROCKY, DANCEY, FUNKY, LOCAL. A member of this resurrection of former Bay Area group Shimmer Kids Underpop Association hand-delivered this 2014 release. Unconventional songwriting shatters the verse chorus verse chorus routine. Side B is SO GOOD. No full instrumentals. No FCC issues. A 1. (4:14) **** Casually happy, care-free. 2. (3:46) *** Briefly samples “Up on Cripple Creek” by The Band. Ethereal groove. 3. (3:35)**** Long funky instrumental intro. Catchy groove and vocals. 4. (2:47) ***** Slow, funky walk. Almost ska. Fun chorus. 5. (3:42) *** Casual 80s disco groove with transition to trippy world vibe. B 1. (3:30) ***** Egregious synth, excellent bass line, extraordinary vocals. Jammy breakdown. 2. (3:14) ***** Lazy, beachy groove. Electric guitar cries out for the chorus. 3. (3:11) ***** Slow, swung, beautiful and short. 4.
