Low fi, very super cool noise rock with female vocals. I thought this was an obscure band's rare buried live recordings from 1983 but i gather this is fairly recent stuff, Hampshire College hipsters damaged by the detritus of Mister Records and that whole fucked up beautiful scene out Providence way. Great noisey dissonant weirdness that brings to mind all the early primal rock from Lydia Lunch to F/i, to The Mighty Feeble. For fans of early Sonic Youth, Buttholes, God is My Copilot. A live recording (theres a gap between tracks otherwise i'd suggest playing it all together - aw hell do it anyway). This is great stuff. Imagine early Sonic Youth without Kim Gordan being so goddamn dramatic, playing for about 15 people.

1)* (6:21) loud and tribal pounding desperate, band title theme "b-e-l-i-e-v-e-r-s...", breaks down toward end, slows, ends w ~20 seconds left with banter with very small crowd 2) (5:04) tribal and more sparse, dissonant early sonic youth (ahem, 1982 SY) damage 3) (5:18) "yesterday was the first day of the rest of my life" slower plodding dissonance, beautiful 4) (4:34) sparse, weird, slow, guitar heavy with drums 5)* (9:01) noisey, slower plodding fucked up, excellent fucked up analog synth 6)* (11:24) slow tribal plod with beautiful noise, goes on and on, thank god!!
