Autolux - Pussy's Dead Autolux strive to piece together a web of different noises, ranging from blips and bleeps to distorted guitar fuzz and string-breaking strumming to pop-based vocal harmonies, in order to create a package much greater than the sum of its parts. Pussy’s Dead feels like a richer and more faithful articulation of what Autolux attempted with 2010’s Transit Transit, an album that does an excellent job flirting with the texture that Broadcast mastered a few years before, but falls flat under its own complexity. Alternative, electro-rock, post punk. Like: Swirlies, Radiohead, No Joy, Ride. FCC CLEAN Play All 1.Selectallcopy (4:26) rollicking opening track, synthesized layers of cacophony 2.Soft Scene (5:06) Bizarre and a little pop song. 3.Hamster Suite (3:03) Mid tempo track similarities to Deerhunter and Blonde Redhead in its opulent make up. 4.Junk for code (3:22)Kicky marching drum beat, bleating stabs of horns, and weakly leaning synth notes 5.Anonymous (2:48) Dark drainer very interesting track 6.Brainwasher (3:07) Funky, sudsy cycle of rat-tat-tat drum beats and falsetto vocals. 7.Listen To The Order (4:16) Kinetic drum beat, hi-hat scintillation, and low-gear guitar grind. 8.Reappearing (2:51) Dark, Slow, sad and full of reverb. 9.Change My Head (5:05) Drony vocals direct tune with its verse/chorus/verse structure. 10.becker (4:21) Gently strummed acoustic guitar, plaintive ballad. | ||
