IAN SWEET – Shapeshifter Dreamy female vox with an edge. Noisy, raw indie rock/dream pop. Each song has so much going on, but in the best way possible. Solid, solid listen. RIYL: The Shacks, Best Coast, Jay Som FCC clean! Favorite tracks: 2, 3, 6 1. (1:38) Pink Marker – strummy, lost and meandering *2. (3:42) Slime Time Live – bass dips in and out, leveling out to restless and fuzzed out guitars *3. (3:59) #23 – like song before, but less focus on bass 4. (4:49) 2soft2chew – echo-y strumming intertwined with vox *5. (5:52) Cactus Couch – cute boppy tune turns to carousing, dizzy bass line. false stop around 4:15 6. (4:30) Shapeshifter – weird, wobbly, stripped-back 7. (3:59) All Skaters Go to Heaven – mellowed out tune turns raw and slightly dark 8. (5:33) Knife Knowing You – far away, melancholy 9. (4:50) Quietly Streaming – mellow bass lines ring through the noise 10. (1:42) Pink Marker 2 – sounds like a continuation of first track --a.b. en masse |
