Review: ambitious concept album: Watson pays tribute on each tune to black pioneers in many fields, some of them forgotten. He teams up with the Curtis Lundy Trio for some serious blowing. All performed with Betty Carter. Watson is also a former member of the Jazz Messengers. All originals except #11
