Aaron Burdett, “Refuge” Organic Records Reviewed by: Kim Walter, May 2017 A mellow album of Americana rock, some songs a little like country top 40, some more like folk rock with some bluegrass touches, and some just good old country rock. Best for me: 1, 4, 7, 9 1. 5:01 med – Bluegrass tinged folk tale, nice fiddle 2. 4:32 med – country rock 3. 4:27 slow/med – another bluegrass tinged folk tune sound like Counting Crows 4. 4:44 slow/med – folk rock 5. 4:08 med – indie rock 6. 4:28 med – top 40 country rock 7. 4:22 slow/med – gentle country folk 8. 5:17 slow/med – country rock tune 9. 4:12 slow/med – barely country rock w/ BG fiddle at end 10. 5:03 med – unimaginative, ends on a weak note | ||
