From the Canadan Arctic comes an interesting combo of indigenous language with vocal techniques reminiscent of Tuvan throat singing and standard old-fashioned rock; if you're a sucker for odd vocal effects, uvular stops, and agglutinative languages and/or Cajun music, you might appreciate this; sporadic electronic effects channel a soundscape of the far north in the 21st century;

No FCC's; Favorite tracks: 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 10

*1-- Ukiuq – 4:47--sounds of animals starts off; interesting vocal effects and guitar; standard vocal in Nunavut language uses Tuvan style throat singing as percussion

2—iqqanaijarumanngittunga – 3:27 --starts with the sound of crunching through snow – Inukyitut lyrics with standard rock style; love those “q's”

*3 – nirlit- 4:21--starts off with amazing throat singing echoed by heavy duty bass guitar; fun yells

4—arnalukaq—3:47-- piano chords accompany singer with English and Inukyitut lyrics with some electronic signals at the beginning and partway through

*5 –makaliqta—3:51—bird sounds and drumming lead into rocking vocal in Inukyitut with female throat chorus that transitions to standard singing

*6 – paniarjuk—2:56 – starts with speech that segues into Nunavut bluegrass; fast; very cool

*7 –tusaavit –2:56 – quieter, slower, sweeter with solo male singer

8 –isumagivappinnga—2:39 – same singer as previous track; Cajun style singing and instruments

9 –anaanaga—4:11-- more nice fiddle; steady beat; uptempo; ends with ambient sound

*10 –northern lights—3:54-- Nunavut homage to Dylan's “Girl of the North Country” complete with throat singing backup
