Uniform have certainly chosen the right style to articulate their pessimism. Clanging metal-on-metal, palm-muted riffs and unrelenting drum beats are ample tools to fashion a machine of apocalyptic torment. Wake in Fright isn’t much removed from the duo’s previous records. Blown-red synthetic kicks and cracks pummel away, while guitars scrape and pound with a grindcore intensity. Terrifying and violent, Wake in Fright is a perfectly logical response to the state of the world.

Metal Noise, Industrial.

Like: Prurient, NIN, Destruction Unit, Gnod

Recommend to play: 2, 4, 5
FCC on tracks: 1, 4, 7,

2.Habit (4:30) Squealing, pulsing horror show cold feedback, anemic percussion. bitter vocals.
3.The Lost (4:49) Industrial Pop, like a hardcore Cold Cave song.
4.The Light at the End (Cause) (4:36) Most relentless track, loss of control vocals jackhammer oppressive drums.
5.The Killing of America (4:04) A positively filthy riff that buzzes like a swarm of vituperative wasps (like a Slayer)

7.Night of Fear (5:01) claustrophobic slow-burner with military drums.
8.The Light at the End (Effect) (5:52) Experimental noise piece with spoken vocals.
