French Vanilla is a self-proclaimed ‘art-punk’ act out of Los Angeles, formed by 4 UCLA undergrads in 2013. Their self titled album consist in nine vigorous tracks regulate the dance floor with socially sensitive lyrics, vocal freneticism, punchy basslines, and catchy sax. Like: Screaming Females, Tacocat, Cherry Glazerr. FCC on 7, 9 Play: 2, 6, 8 1.Honesty (2:10) Mid tempo, desperate vocals melodic bass lines. 2.Carrie (2:46) Funny vocals and accent sax all over the place. 3.Thru The Earth (2:35) Upbeat with nice rhythm guitars. 4.Evolution of a Friendship (3:28) great sax melodies & punchy drums. 5.Mother's Love (1:54) Crawling bass lines and obstinate drums. 6.Anti-Aging Global Warming (3:15) Mid tempo driven guitars great vocals. 7.Social Trappings (2:54) Like a dance song with electric drums. 8.Sports (3:02) Post punk guitars with more punchy bass lines. 9.Heavy Handed (2:59) Mid tempo punk-ish punchy guitars alto-soprano vocals. | ||
