Slang Blade the original came out in 1999 and the group disbanded just a few years later. In 2013 they got back together and released another LP after a 15 year drought and I though that was it. Well it’s 2017 and and boom pow they are back at it again. Surprisingly or perhaps not this track sounds like they picked up right from 1999. Very tru school with raw up front drums and an infections bassline that rides in out out of being filtered (a very 90’s production technique). If you like that gritty tru school east coast 90’s sound do not sleep on this one. – M-SMOOTH
