“Drift EP” Drift
Ripping local indie rock with epic guitar work on all of the tracks. Raw and real vocals — no Auto-Tune here. Harkens back to early college radio in the 1990s. Band is based in Fremont. Joseph Heüken on guitar/vocals, Sean Glass on guitar and Johann Zamora on drums. Tyler Jensen from the Early Graves guested on bass.

Start with 1, 3 or 5 — but all tracks stand on their own merits
1. (4:15) I Don’t Care – Alternative rock with a measured tempo and growling guitars. Some call-and-response vocals. ***
2. (3:00) Baby You Got – Driving rock with propulsive drums. Guitar solo in lead break gets a bit psyche-y.
3. (2:34) Cut the Sun – Straight-ahead guitar rocker with some nice hooks. ***
4. (6:21) Frown – Epic guitar anthem that varies between jangly sections and bigger distorted guitar swells.
5. (4:11) Forget about the World – Up-tempo traveling song with a nice chugging sound and some nifty guitar licks throughout. ***
