Space is Safe is the latest 7” single by psych rock Austin band, Lake Of Fire. Well-constructed capacious guitar-driven rock filtered through vintage 1960s psychedelic sounds, and executed with precision and conviction. There might be a lot of bands doing psych rock these days but this band has it. I saw them live a couple of years ago in Austin as part of some club showcase and they were the best band that night. They have a lot of room in their sound to keep growing. Baffled how they remain unsigned. They’ll be releasing a new album this fall.

2. (2:46) *** Julie – Killer medium-up tempo recording driven by a 1960s retro garage rock guitar riff and a melody taken from one of those Nuggets compilations. Feels from that time. Play it!
