A true blues god here in a relaxed session with friends like Etta Baker, Cootie Stark and John Ferguson. Previously unreleased tracks recorded in the 1990s. Serious hard-core classic blues, including Stagger Lee, Shortnin’ Bread, and John Henry. Every track is a standout. Play it all.

1. Oh hell yeah. Taj gives us a growling midtempo classic.
2. Harp leads into midtempo back porch hill blues.
3. Sweet and laid back love song w/that great growling voice.
4. Lazy w/great (but quiet) female vocals. Sweet guitar.
5. Midtempo bayou fishin’ ode. Catchy w/great guitar.
6. Lowdown piano/guitar, midtempo w/a strong walk.
7. Relaxed African-inspired instrumental. Really nice.
8. Down & dirty moaning, harp & guitar. The shit!
9. Bright & sweet pickin’ slow & lazy w/great vocals.
10. Catchy & fun, hambone, clapping & a capella voice.
11. Slow & lowdown, light strings & moanin’
12. Relaxed strings duet, nice head nodder.
13. Elec guitar, sort of tropical sound, great relaxed instr.
