Five skilled and talented California-based musicians play delightful and lively acoustic world music with an emphasis on Eastern European and gypsy; nice variety of rhythms and textures; some of it a bit schmaltzy, but always beautifully rendered

No FCC's; Favorite tracks: 1, 3, 6, 8, 9

**1—Libertango –4:36 – great accordion and fiddle playing on this Astor Piazzola classic

2 – Sweet Lorraine –3:58 – slow and swingy with the violin taking the lead melody

*3 – Czardas –5:42 – heavy duty Hungarian gypsy; slow and fraught segueing to rhythmic dance and then to another stately slow movement which speeds up once again

4 – Circle of Fours –3:47-- quirky vocal written by band member Craig Nuttycombe

5--The Lovers Waltz – 4:30 – written by composer of “Ashokan Farewell” – studiedly retro and romantic with violin, guitar and some accordion

*6—El Choclo –3:20 – nice combo of accordion with fiddle, guitars, and percussion

7 –Morning –3:20 – another Craig Nuttycombe tune with lyrics; this time a waltz

*8 –Metsakukkia –3:21 – another Jay Unger tune with an Eastern European flavor

*9-- Crested Hens –5:22- slow air with violin and guitar leading to accordion; pretty!

10—La Mangave—3:00 – quick waltz again with violin lead

*11—Sylvi –2:42 –heavy accordion with percussion

12—Ebb & Flo –2:31 – title tune with lyrics by Craig Nuttycombe
