Straight out of south London and determinedly DIY, Goat Girl are feisty, furious and fearless. Their incendiary rock, with shades of Cat Power and Medway garage girls Thee Headcoatees, challenges everything from national apathy in to the perils of public transport on Creep on the Train. Goat Girl haven’t skimped on the number of songs they’ve put on the album. Although a few aperitifs serve as extended interludes between the nineteen songs, by and large, there are very few opportunities to get twitchy with the skip button. Across 40 odd minutes, there is a lot to get through and each track never outstays its welcome.
Like: Siouxsie Sioux, Cat Power, Courtney Barnett, Pj Harvey.

Play: 2, 6, 7, 17
.Salty Sounds (1:07) - Sinister jazzy piano, intro/interlude track.
.Burn The Stake (2:40) - Grows from acoustic strumming to a full-throated call to action.
.Creep (2:21) - nimble violins and hard-hitting drums join an understated bassline.
.Viper Fish (3:50) - A stinking-lovely guitar riff, and a lyrical refrain that’s almost like a lullaby
.A Swamp Dogs Tale (1:21)- woozy spoken spoken word interlude monologue.
.Cracker Drool (2:38) - Maybe the danciest, most moshpit-happy track in this album.
.Slowly Reclines (2:30) - Sharp guitar riffs and angelic vocals that make the song dreamy.
.The Man With No Heart Or Brain (1:32) - Wonky shanties, hazy energy sludge.
.Moonlit Monkey (0:40) - Instrumental interlude.
.The Man (3:10) - '80s rhythm and guitar licks that get you grooving.
.Lay Down (2:50) - Gorgeous melody, a dreamy whiff of Led Zeppelin’s “Stairway to Heaven”.
.I Don't Care Part 1 (2:08) - Screechy and squall-y guitars and a great vocal melody.
.Hanks Theme (0:47) Instrumental piano interlude.
.I Don't Care Part 2 (2:51) Slower and way more melodic than version 1.
.Throw Me A Bone (2:27) - Understated and rhythm heavy like PJ Harvey.
.Dance of Dirty Leftovers (0:46) Instrumental interlude.
.Little Liar (1:44) - Mid tempo psych garage vibe.
.Country Sleaze (1:48) - Reworked and woefully too short scorcher.
.Tomorrow (2:54) - A ballad with a tender, almost dreamy touch.
