Las Rosas make superior poppy-garage psych, with a flair for hooks, melody and arrangement. The trio conjure up luminous, moon-eyed pop vibes that are delivered with authority and muscle. It's been little over a year since the debut, "Everyone Gets Exactly What They Want," was hailed as a fresh, fun and valuable addition to the garage rock/psych pop cannon. They're even better the second time around, conjuring up a scorching combination of Supergrass, Robyn Hitchcock and The House of Love. Like: Beach Fossils, The Growlers, Allah-Las, Supergrass FCC on 2 and 4 Play: 1, 3, 5, 6 1.The Ghost (5:34) - A bit of a mini-opera feathery ray of sunshine while soulful organs provide swirling undertones. 2.Tax Man (2:45) - Snappy guitar riffs, dancy pop rhythms, and colorful sing-alongs. 3.Christa (4:26) - Great sounding guitars and a super tight mix. 4.Me Myself (3:29) - Airy psych and relaxed catchy Garage Rock. 5.Nothing's Wrong (2:49) - Sixties psych and southern Rock. 6.Dinner For One (4:13) - Indie dance-y garage rock ballad. 7.Flood This House (4:57) - A stormy psychedelic landscape with waves of explosive drums. 8.Losing No Sleep (3:45) - Mid tempo romantic melodic track. 9.Upstairs Guy (3:33) - Slow tempo full of rhythm ballad. | ||
