Ryan Adams can do no wrong. This release is a set of b-sides that didn’t make the cut for Prisoner, his 2017 LP, and from what I hear these are way better. Alt-country/rock, great guitars, drums, epic outros. Play it!!! Favorites: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 12, 13, 15, 17 (honestly all) FCC: 7 1. (2:32) Where Will You Run?—Distortion, riffs 2. (3:53) *** Juli—Somber late sunset track, amazing bridge, one of my fav tracks in a while 3. (3:57) ** Are You Home?—Faster tempo, wistful roughened vox, chiming guitars, so good!! 4. (2:53) ** No Words—Straight guitar-driven rock, 90s 5. (2:59) * Halo—Driving rock, little bit Springsteen 6. (4:02) * It Will Never Be the Same—Alt country opening, then breaks into rock w/ some nice piano cuts 7. (3:09) ** What If We’re Wrong—Classic, total jam. FCC: shit 8. (3:37) Broken Things—Slower, acoustic guitar, piano 9. (3:25) * Stop You—Chiming guitars, melancholy 10. (2:34) ** Hanging On to Hope—Swinging, awesome guitar and drum interplay 11.
