Review: The latest disc from the former lead singer of Mazzy Star & her band is an intoxicating piece of narcotized psychedelia that stands as their best to date. Haunted and enveloping, the album is almost hypnotic in its warm but sometimes eerie embrace. There is a beautiful strangeness lurking just out of reach on the record, a dreamlike atmosphere that summons images of haunted woodlands and bottomless lakes.
