Complex layers of aggression and longing define the subtly shifting tones of Death Lust, the debut album from Chastity, a band whose sound is rooted in hardcore but reaches for much more. Death Lust, it's a concept album charting an arc from despair and isolation to community-minded conviction, with songs logging sonic references to scenes and genres like shoegaze, noise rock and hardcore.
