In honor of DJ Screw, Houston-based experimental producer Rabit has crafted a loving, detailed tribute to Screw’s iconic Chopped and Screwed stylings. Featuring all the traditional trappings of a good Screw tape, this record has 10 extremely slow, low-fi remixes of famous hip hop tracks. However, Rabit goes a step beyond Screw by weaving in his own experimental electronics and ghostly femme vocals. These additions render a fully modern and surprising mixtape that will satisfy fans of Screw and Rabit alike.
