This stuff veers from Big Star/Tom Petty guitar indie pop rock to Loop/Wooden Shijps psych drenched jams so fast it gives me whiplash, which is a great thing. Super cool stuff, mostly instrumental, guitar driven but uses lots of great layered effects, tasteful. Moments of Killing Joke chorused searing guitar here and there. And its no wonder as Poss is a rock veteran: He founded the Band of Susans in 1986 after having worked with Rhys Chatham. Afterward he collaborated with members of Wire, Phil Niblock, and others. He’s been dubbed a “guitar genius”.
