Roc Marciano, Black Thought - ALC Records: [72 BPM] If you are familiar with Roc Marciano’s music you will know it is typically sampled based where the drums are either not present or extremely sparse. You would think this formula would be antithesis of boom bap hip hop however this is not the case. This track is indeed shallow on the percussion aside from light bongos and a couple a snare shots at the bridge. The filtered bassline has the pseudo drums barried within and Roc Marciano and Black Thought float over the jazzy horn loop and filtered soulful bassline. . – M-SMOOTH | ||
