No Wave revival with dissonance, noise searing guitar, desperate vocals, big dissonant bass. No New York (classic comp record- see vinyl section) comes quickly to mind: urgency of James Chance, sick guitar of Mars, Lydia Lunch, and moments of irreverence for everything a la The Fall. I suppose I belie my age with these references but I think they are pretty apt. If they make no sense, consider it a homework assignment. Just check out No New York. For more recent references try Dog Faced Hermans, Flying Luttenbachers (or anything related to Weasel Walter).

1) (2:34) cool Tom Tom tribal beat with great noise guitar, disonant bass and desperate vocals. 2) (1:57) speeds up into pure No New York James Chance and the Contortions, Mars love. 3) (1:05) hits ground running with the urgent noise dissonance, no wave 4)* (3:10) tribal no wave again 5) FCC (shit) (1:02) bouncy weird very much like The Fall. 6) (2:17) more urgency 7)* (2:33) way cool downtuned noise solo guitar intro, launches into disjunct madness quickly. 8)* (1:35) Fall type guitar, upbeat weird spastic feel 9) (4:02) mid paced tribal, screaming getting over the top
