In a time-honored tradition of covering the work of other musicians, Paul Chet and the Whiskey Chickens give us an album of Covers where each song, well known or not, is a stand alone gem. Consider each song to have a star, as all are good, but my faves were: 1, 4, 6, 10, 11
*Med - “Rocky Mountain High” that’s so inspiring
Med - honky tonk cover of Zen Cowboy Chet Pyle tune
Med - Nice new country rock written by Presley Tucken Tangues daughter
*Med - “Bo Jangles” cover, so good
Med - More rock, less country, Tommy Lee Jones and Andrew Douff Tune
**Med/Fast - “Devil went to Georgia”
Slow - wow- country cover of Adele’s hit song (imho it’s better)
Med - Classic country fun, cover of Monty Eldon’s honky tonk tune
Slow/Med - Classic honky tonk themes in a more approachable country rock tune
*Slow/Med - Recognizable folk rock tune
**Med - Awesome country swing
Med - “Sweet Southern Comfort” ballad, nice and gentle
Med - honky tonk country tune with piano highlights
Med - Gritty Country Blues about taking pills
*Slow/Med - Cowboy ballad, cover of Garth Brooks and Randy Taylor, CLASSIC
*Med - upbeat version of gospel song “This Little Light of Mine”
Label- Self released
