With its artsy space-rock cum americana sound it should not be much of a surprise that Costello hails from the Art Institute of Pittsburg. In ‘Frequencies he and the Minors present exquisitely crafted synth-pop with a touch of jam band sound. Overall the sound is etherial with just enough fuzz box and vocoder action over his hypnotic falsetto to put a little edge on their sound.

RIYL: Khruangbin, War on Drugs, Lord Huron

**1 Broken Noses – sublime, artsy power rock from the opening chords to the break (med, 4:34)
2 How Long – slow & soulful start with great interplay between guitar & organ builds to spacey jam in the last half (med, 6:20)
*3 Kinda (Makes You Feel Good) - blissful & dreamy syncopation (med, 3:29)
4 To Find You – slow start with background sounds & talking morphing to lazy guitar jam interspersed with crashing drums (9:30). Suggest skipping first 2:00.
***5 NSA – near perfect, jangly power pop ditty about working for the NSA (fast, 4:53)
**6 When I Start Talking – slow and soulful with great organ (slow, 4:16)
*7 When I Stop – etherial instrumental (4:04)
