– General Description: This is essentially a French album of free jazz and prog rock experimentation. Some of it is actually interesting and fun. Most of it veers towards the dark, but hey, lots of experiments go bad — it doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be tried. – FCC Compliant: YES – Recommended Tracks: 4, 6, 7, 10, 11, 13 – Track Reviews: 1. (2:52) Philippe Besombes - La Plage (The Beach) - creepy weird space music with excited female 3. (4:05) Igor Wakh vitch - Materia-Prima - easy drums with weird sounds, then more perscussion 4. ***(8:04) Mahjun - Les Enfants Sauvages (Wild Children) - wandering around a junkyard with a choral group, gets kinda noisy but fun 5. (3:52) Lard Free - Warinobaril - a progressively loud laidback then nuts jazz piece 6. ***(10:42) Etron Fou Leloublan - Le Désastreux Voyage Du Piteux Python (The Disastrous Journey of Piteux Python) - a fun voice experiment in French over kicky song elements (no idea what he’s saying) 7. ***(3:03) Jean Cohen-Solal - Captain Tarthopom - sort of twisted circus-like song with chickens at the end 8. (3:00) Z. N. R. - Solo Un Dia (Solo One Devil) - simple little song 9.
