Unaddressed – The Dead Pens (as told by Mr. Bones)

In Unaddressed the The Dead Pens present a dreamy semi-acoustic indie sound with a richness that is amazing given that it is comprised of only piano/vocals (Danah Koch), guitar (Ryan Abbot), and cello (Sally McGee). The overall sound is minimalist but quite accessible with the vibrato of McGee’s cello nicely complementing the angelic timbre in Koch’s vocals and supported by Abott’s intriguing guitar. Top it off with interesting key and timing changes plus introspective lyrics and you’ve got a top notch college radio sound in which every track is deserves to be played.
