Sadat X – Grimey Toof): [87 BPM] First off I am a sucker for X Mas songs so when artists either flips or samples a Christmas joint you have caught my attention. The Baritone Brothas (New York/New Jersey) are on the authenic lyrical boom bap tip. On this joint they loop up the orginal classic Christmas song “Do You Hear What I Hear” by The Harry Simeone Chorale (1962). The orchestral 8 bar loop is accompanied by some clean break beat drums and lyrically the vibes harkens back to the 90’s east coast goodness. Sadat X has the last verse on the track.
