Andy Haas improv experimental/jazz-funk project. All instrumental. Haas is a Toronto artist who’s recent releases, denizens of our afile, have leaned toward experimental, using treated trumpet and brass much in the manner of (current afile resident) Jon Hassell. Recorded live in-studio these improvs lean more toward a downtown jazz funk but still use excellent treatments. Haas of course gained fame with the brief success of early 80’s band Martha and the Muffins. He has most certainly evolved. Great stuff, enjoy.
