– General Description: Minneapolis-based saxophonist Cole Pulice sez his first album Gloam is “audio holograms for tenor saxophone and hardware, recorded live without overdubs”. His work is influenced by light prisms, the fiction of Samuel Delaney, the Synchromism art movement and electroacoustic ambient environments. Some is strange and a bit harsh; some is quite beautiful. – FCC Compliant: YES – Recommended Tracks: 2 – Track Reviews: 1. (2:47) Lymns - sounds like an accordion and bagpipes breathing in and out together 2. ****(6:30) Sleep Helix - weirdly relaxing and quite beautiful 3. (8:16) Bone Prisms - free-flowing sax 4. (5:03) Neurochrome - sounds like an accordion and bagpipes breathing in and out together 5. (5:37) Arc of Shadows - if sound could breathe, it might sound like this 6. (5:04) Bloom - echoey fun with a sax |
