Cheers To Solitude presents a Western Americana sound that is as pristine as the air in the band's home of Sheridan, WY. Whether rockin' it in Beautiful or down home & bluesy in Red Yellow Orange, the sound is authentic and captivating. Part of the magic is having both the X & Y slant on songwriting and the vocals which are shared between Julie Szewc and Dave Huebner. Also integral to vibe is the often up front power of DH's cello accented with dobro, banjo and fiddle, all backed by a rock solid rhythm section. The song writing is an impeccable reflection on the simple beauty of life, ("those tears mean they care and that's so hard to find", track #2), told from both a male and female perspective. Looking for an infectious sound to beguile Americana & Indie listeners during the dark days of Covid, this disk's for you.
