The third studio LP from Australian jazz-funk/space-disco band, Mildlife. Driving disco percussion, funky bass lines, syncopated guitar riffs, and cosmic synth leads.
FCC Clean.
1. *** A slow build to all-out psych-disco euphoria. Starts with a bass and percussion intro as more elements are eventually layered in. By the end, pulsating vocoder harmonies, airy synths, and interlocking guitars are shot into outer space by a killer disco percussion groove.
2. ** A more open, laid back disco track that features soaring synth melodies and jazzy guitar solos in the second half.
3. Another laid back disco number, this one driven by wah-pedal funk bass.
4. * Dark and driving disco track, propelled by sweeping synth pulses and a great synth solo around the halfway mark.
5. * Jazzier instrumental track featuring wah-pedal flute. Slow intro with percussion and atmospheric synths, and a slow fade out.
6. ** Slow plodding disco, featuring more vocoder harmonies. A filtered guitar solo that starts around the halfway mark is capped off by a perpetually rising synth line, until the tension is finally released by closing out with the main melody.
7. Another slower track, and the longest on the album. Heavily effected vocals are spaced out between instrumental breaks, including synth and flute solos.
