Cinematic atmospheric experimental. Appropriately named, these pieces feel like truncated samples of longer pieces, with fade-outs. Bandcamp: “Shards is a collection of pieces originally written for various film and TV soundtracks Tim Hecker has scored over the last half decade. These compositions were originally written for scoring projects including Infinity Pool, The North Water, Luzifer, and La Tour.” Lovely stuff as always from Hecker.

All instrumental, FCC clean.

1) (4:48) soaring tones with foundation of minimal bass notes 2) (4:23) minimal piano and upright bass 3) (4:19) looping toylike sounds with swirling woodwind, new classical feel, grows pensive 4)* (2:45) slow plod with DMX bending Budd/Eno 80’s treatment, tones, always a lovely sound 5) (3:14) very chill synth melodies, slow and ethereal, build slowly to more intense tone 6) (4:06) pensive notes, swirling layers upon them 7)* (7:36) bigger epic multilayers, little notes, ambient swirls, more textured
