Lounge/downtempo/balearic from producer/DJ duo of brothers originally from Auckland, NZ. The pair are notorious cratediggers, which really broadens and influences their palette with elements of 90's house, jazz, samba, and R&B.
RIYL: Ron Trent, Leon Vynehall, Theo Parrish, Waajeed, Francois K, Leland Whitty
FCC clean
My favorites are 1, 7, 13, 8
1. Pleasant flute and xylophone intro with seagulls squawking and an honest-to-god rainstick
2. Water-splashed, tropical, loungey, with bluesy guitar solos throughout
3. Bass-heavy downtempo with rapped verse from UK MC Novelist and silky backup vocals from Stephanie Cooke
4. Boppy R&B with snazzy synthesizer
5. Drums-forward jazzy instrumental
6. Skippy samba with soulful romantic vocals from Josh Milan
7. Groovy, jazzy house with great synthesizer and xylophone
8. More top-notch jazzy house with a big beat backbone and great jazz and brass solos
9. Chill, deep, laidback with hand drums and horns
10. Calm and tranquil, a real “sunset song” with mellow vocals
11. Another samba flavored groover. Really excellent flute playing
12. 1.5 minute ambient intro blossoms into a dancey bouncy beat with vocal snippets and uplifting piano
13. Old school synth and a fluttery sunny beat. Really great classic balearic beat sound
14. Smooth piano driven “end of summer” outro. A gentle beat and slow sonic washes
