1978 session featuring some giants: John Zorn, Eugene Chadbourne, Tom Cora. Zorn's clarinet is prominent, with lots of short skronks and clicks. Lots of spaces and silence in here -- the group tends towards a sparser sound punctuated by sudden loud bleats, like flash bulbs in the dark.

Overall sound is abstract, improvised in the European model.

Tracks 2 and 4 are called "solo" but they seem to include most of the group. Not sure what's up with that.

Disc was re-released in late 2003.

1- Opens fast and blurry, a beehive for 2.5 minutes. Then spare, near-silent improv that builds back into restrained activity.
2- Busy blast ... then sparse
3- Angry but sparse. Lots of pauses.
4- A slower feel, often quiet.
5- Duet: Zorn & Drums. Calmly rattling
