A Big 10-8 Place (Reissue)

A mix of sarcastic spoken word and sample art dealing with the "enforced normal" locales of Contra Costa County, CA done up by the long running, local based sample art masters. Originally released in 1983. Pretty funny stuff but sometimes a bit excessive.

((((1)))) Hilarious! Sort of bizarre 80's new wave crossed with usually
sample art. I like Martinez and all the green slime. REALLY repetitive
chorus.
(((2))) (FCC "fuck you" @ 10:02 said twice, "shit" said twice, @13:02) Long mix of random samples & noises from radio & TV very jumbled. "You can assure your family's safe, secure comfort" from the funny to the absurd.
((((3))) Some little girl singing about clowns and ballerinas with guitar
noise moving in & out.
(((4))) The Weatherman intros some stuff. Pretty short.
((((5)))) Silly, folk-rock song about a man with an ever reducing number of
fingers. Goes off like a good drunken campfire song.
((((6)))) The Weatherman returns to tell us about the sewer water from Oakland, 180 G, sex chemicals, Save Muffins and more. Weird and often
amusing.
