First CD from Elizabeth Elmore, who would lead Sarge for several years before splitting off to form The Reputation. It's indie pop, but with a rougher edge than later albums would have, not quite punk but definitely going for a tougher sound with harsher chords.
Later albums like "The Glass Intact" would end up more poppy; you can hear traces of that on tracks like 3,8,9. But it's hard to ignore the rougher-edged, high-energy ones like 1,5.
3- Fast lyrics and a fun melody, an amusing breakup letter by a narrater who's just fed up. Gets reprised on the "Distant" album.
5- Rough, hard-edged, fast.
9- Great pop song, upbeat tempo but full of longing. Tight harmonies.
