A lot of up-tempo blues from this duo. Led by main stream rock producer Danny Kortchmar (who has produced albums for James Taylor, Billy Joel, Don Henley, and Neil Young) but this is a real departure from that. He's cutting loose from the shackles of popular rock and trying to do his own thing with guitars and samples. Singer Charlie Karp yowls out, sounding more or less like Howlin' Wolf, and he also plays guitar. The sound is considerably filled out by many, many blues, jazz, rock, and soul samples. Recommended tracks: 3,5,7,11, and 12 (+9 if it was clean)
