Low moody rock without guitars. Classic Morphine elements: Mark Sandman 2 string fretless bass and noir vocals, Dana Colley with one or more big saxes, and Billy Conway on drums. Morphine was beginning to expand its sound to include other instruments and guest musicians, starting with the previous album 'Like Swimming' and continued here. This album was completed just before the untimely death of Morphine bassist and vocalist Mark Sandman, adding an extra sad flavor to these tracks if you're a Morphine fan like myself. Try all, recommend 1,2,3,6,7,8.
