Music * Sound - This is a really varied compilation. It ranges from pop to rock to industrial to straight up electronica. Overall there are some really nice songs on here but there are also a few big losers. There is something to fit most shows whether you play stuff on the rock side or on the electronic side. I thought the comp was ok. The good songs tended to outweigh the bad. My Picks: 2, 6, 8, 11, 12, 18

1) Starts with low electronic sounds that increase in pitch. Throbbing feel with some strange distorted vocals and the occasional bloopy sound too. Dark and ominous.
2) Kooky intro sample. Throbbing electronics. Fast pounding beats that leave you feeling anxious. Overall it's quiet.
3) Fades in with spooky and airy keyboards. Casio keyboard beat comes in and then it gets heavier. Midtempo beat that sort of drags.
4) Fades in slowly with a drum machine and continues to add sounds getting heavier until the finally the vocals come in. Hard dark and almost industrial sounding. Solid driving midtempo.
5) Uptempo pop song. Ok cover.
6) Starts with distorted guitar. Then it turns into a midtempo song about batteries. Vocals are ridiculous! This is really weird. He's talking about the uses of batteries. Song winds down as if running out of batteries.
7) Midtempo rock song. Reminds me of the song "Jeremy" by Pearl Jam (yes, it's that bad) both in delivery and topic. Ugh - this is really annoying.
8) Really quiet for the first 10 seconds and slowly fades in with electronic drums and bells. Airy keyboards too add a nice quality. Sort of dark and ominous but not scary feeling. Simple.
9) Starts very quiet and fades in with bloopy electronic sounds. Sharp high-pitched blips. Pretty minimal.
10) Uptempo with a nice solid beat. Guitars and slightly distorted vocals that are spoken/rapped.
11) Comes in with some nice pounding drums and an uptempo beat. Fun pop punk.
12) Weird beat. Uptempo pop song with a bit of a punk feel. Pretty cool.
13) Starts with people talking on the cb radio followed by distorted guitars and fast spoken vocals. Heavy and almost metal or hardcore. Turns kind of dub reggae for a bit at the end.
14) Cool bass line to a nice uptempo groover. Instruments are nice but lyrically it's weak.
15) A fast midtempo that drags a bit. Fuzzy guitars with some nice heavy bass. Rock. End is really nice.
16) Uptempo pop. Light and happy.
17) Midtempo drag. Indie rock with simple guitars and basic drums.
18) Starts quiet with some cute guitar. Strangely distorted vocals. Funny lyrics.
19) Hard pounding drums and heavy fuzzy guitars. Dark angry feel.
20) Drum machine beat. Uptempo with strange sample effects. Then the guitars come in heavy and fuzzy.
