Solo album from the "banshee howl" of Geddy Lee! (Lead singer from Rush, in case you didn't know.) Actually has very little howling ... this is Geddy in "serious-pop" mode, flexing the same brain muscles that helped write melody-heavy rock tracks like "New World Man" and "Distant Early Warning."

Ben Mink, who plays violin on some Rush albums, co-wrote everything. Geddy lets himself depart from the Rush mode by using heavier, tidal-wave guitar or bass sounds (like the thumping bass attack opening track 1) but the overall sound has the tuneful, almost light sound of post-Moving-Pictures Rush.

The project works well overall, but don't come here looking for a revival of the 2112/Caress of Steel stuff.

Faves: 3 and 10 are nice and melodic; 1 is good for a slighly heavier feel
