Your Imaginary Friend

Gerald Hawk. Arty lo-fi folky strangeness. Sounds like it was recorded in a leaky trailer in the dark mossy woods outside Port Angeles. The trailer has a carbon monoxide buildup. Either this guy is into kiddie porn or he’s an art student. Guitar is not so much played as banged. Weird and twangy white trash feel about the “singing” and lyrics. Nice noise elements along with the guit/vocs. Eugene Chadborne with brain damage. Fucking weird late night material.

1) low end rumblings, some clunking and clanging, desperate understated vocs w/whispered dubs, last minute turns into midtempo weirdness
2) nice low end rumbling, lo-fi spoken words, some guit picking
3) guit w/sociopathic whispering, noises
4) slowed down feel, vocals, slight guit
5) quiet and distant lo-fi, same as above
6) more guit, vocs w/whispered overdubs
7) guit, vocs, distant
8) guit, semi-erotic lyrics (FCC, safe harbor only), guit, hillbilly trashy folky feel
9) nore bizarre folkiness, guit/lyrics, slow
10) distant lo-fi guit/lyrics, slow and ponderous ends w/dulcimer sounds
11) electric guit w/vocs, stripped down folk lo-fi, noises, sparse
12) noisey looped feel initially, more drony bad guit/vocs, returns to loop
