Rothko - blends the line between minimal ambient electronica and post rock. Akin to Boards of Canada, Pan American, Scenic. Songs swirl around a melodic fragment and are slow to develop. Echoed, reverby guitar and bass, trumpet, flute, lost male voice, and sheets of drifting sonic effects. It's hard to isolate "best" tracks on an album that flows as well as this one ... but I'll try: 1, 3, 5, 6, 9, 11, 15 -nari

1. lonely
2. slate gray
3. Munch's The Cry; abstract
4. bright & soulful jazz trumpet
5. builds to a choir of electronic screams
6. agitated
7. fuzz, tones, blips, crystalline chimes
8. ocean under sunlight
9. heavy, moody
10. low vibration with chimes high above
11. delicate
12. breathy trumpet sighs
13. intricate, mathy, wanders around
14. innocent
15. a very personal, emotive guitar line
