Free jazz in a mostly relaxed setting, with slow (but lively) backing and some strenuous solos. Often gets just a little bit funky -- or even proggy -- before shifting into some nice untethered soloing.

Interesting band: sax - guitar - electric bass - vibes - drums. The bass, in particular, stays nice and low and digs out some complicated grooves.

Contrast with Henry's "Up Popped the Two Lips," which came out at the same time.

1- Slow and wandering, with flute and acoustic guitar
2*- Crazy, fast, jumbled hyperbop
3- Slow waltz
4*- Mid/slow with a solid beat. Flute solo.
5*- A strong flow, slow and loud, with scattery guitar
6- Slow, almost prog-rock (Alan Holdsworth?)
7*- Mid/fast funky SNAP. Great solo passages.
8- Slow and echoing, with burning sax solo.
