Album Review
Your Imaginary Friend
Reviewed 2002-03-20
I guess this is post rock: mostly instrumental, super loud snare drum, not a straight 4/4 full measure or straight guitar tuning to be found. Clean “punchy”, “crunchy” guits and basses. Only thing missing is the vibes. Strings on some tracks, vocs on three, some tracks ambient noise.

1) ambient, quiet guits, subliminal electronics, bass
2) slow triplet arpeggios
3) skippy upbeat
4) breathy indecipherable vocs mixed w/ strings, dark bass
5) upbeat rocker
6) quiet, builds into spacey trippy sounds only
7) lush feel, mid-up paced
8) long: slow casio drum feel, breathy mumbled vocs return, picks up and builds into post rocker, ends nice-ambient noisy
9) nice treated atmospherics, loud snare contrasts, almost psyche
10) more buried vocs, slow Low feel almost
11) slow metronome w/ minor drony strings and bass
