Album Review
Your Imaginary Friend

From Duluth, another release from the unfortunately named DP. Again, flashes of brilliance in this rather lo-fi twisted folky simple bluesy rock. Guit, bass drums, desperate male vocs w/ fem backup, leads, harmonies. Quite pleasant, but fucked up too. Dipping from the same well as hometown cronies Dylan and Low, but spiked with whiskey and LSD. I like.

1) dischordant bluesy slidey guit lo-fi
2) almost upbeat feel, minimal
3) upbeat whacked blues
4) mid-up strummy
5) ride cymbal+ tambourine beat, sparser feel
6) upbeat feel
7) fem lead vocs, sparse feel but upbeat, pretty
8) mellow feel
9) upbeat but still mellow w/ brushed drums and no bass, nice noisy elements
10) mellow, min drums, guit+vocs mostly, nice
11) upbeat almost garage rock, fuzzy and upbeat rockin
12) brief instrumental
13) mellow brushed drum ballad
14) genuinely upbeat rocking mid-up beat
